There are times in life where what you really need is a poem – to express the things it’s difficult to express. And that’s where I come in. I’ve written commissioned poems of greeting, poems of farewell, poems of love, and poems of hate. I’ve written for children, grandparents, spouses, colleagues, new partners and old, families, schoolfriends, and pets, and unborn children. I’ve written adoration, peace, humour, apology (I still don’t know what that one was about), pain, sorrow, regret, and fondness. I’ve written for weddings, funerals, anniversaries, birthdays, and wishing loved ones both bon voyage and welcome home. I’ve also written about blue elephants performing Shakespeare at Stratford-on-Avon (I didn’t ask), children’s cartoons I’ve never watched, and a paean to the beauty and utility of weighted marquee feet (that one was commissioned as payment for the use of said feet).
I can write in rhyme, or not, and to all sorts of different forms and lengths. If you fancy commissioning me, get in touch so we can work out a decent price for you (also dependent on whether you want it performed, produced in physical media, etc.), or you can look at the current simple commission options on my Ko-fi page.
